Conditional sentence
Conditional Sentences are also known as Conditional Clauses or If Clauses. They are used to express that the action in the main clause (without if) can only take place if a certain condition (in the clause with if) is fulfilled. There are three types of Conditional Sentences.
if Simple Present, will-Future
Type I indicates what will happen, provided that a certain situation is given.
If you send your order by fax, we will deliver the goods immediately.
If you invite me for lunch, I will help you with your presentation.
if Simple Past, would infinitive
Type II indicates what could happen if a present situation were different.
If we had more employees, we would work more efficiently.
If we delivered poor quality, we would not be the leading company in our business.
if Past Perfect, would have past participle
Type III indicates what could have happened in the past if a situation had been different then.
If you had read the paper, you would have seen the advertisement.
If I had taken the bus, I would have been late.
If Clause Type I

Kalimat bersyarat juga dikenal sebagai Conditional clauses atau Jika Clauses. Mereka digunakan untuk menyatakan bahwa tindakan dalam klausa utama (tanpa olah) hanya dapat terjadi jika kondisi tertentu (dalam klausul dengan jika) terpenuhi. Ada tiga jenis Kalimat Bersyarat.
Jika Klausul Tipe I
jika Simple Present, akan-Masa Depan
Tipe I menunjukkan apa yang akan terjadi, asalkan situasi tertentu yang diberikan.
Contoh:
Jika Anda mengirim pesanan Anda dengan fax, kami akan mengantarkan barang segera.
Jika Anda mengundang saya untuk makan siang, saya akan membantu Anda dengan presentasi Anda.
Jika Klausul Tipe II
jika Simple Past, akan infinitif
Tipe II
menunjukkan apa yang bisa terjadi jika situasi sekarang berbeda.
Contoh:
Jika kita memiliki lebih banyak karyawan, kita akan bekerja lebih efisien.
Jika kita disampaikan berkualitas buruk, kita tidak akan menjadi perusahaan terkemuka dalam bisnis kami.
Jika Klausul Type III
jika Past Perfect, akan past participle
Type III
menunjukkan apa yang mungkin terjadi di masa lalu jika situasi sudah berbeda.
Contoh:
Jika Anda pernah membaca koran, Anda akan melihat iklan.
Jika saya telah mengambil bus, aku akan terlambat.
